What a game

Sometimes following sports is worth the time suckage. Today was one of those days. I'm from New Jersey. I'm not a Giants Fan, but I was rooting hard for them. I would have rooted for the Nazis against New England, but I'm glad a Jersey team did it. The Giants have played in New Jersey for thirty years. The Patriots are great, but not as great as people thought. I'm glad someone showed that. This was the biggest upset I've ever seen in the Super Bowl. The sack escape by Eli and then that catch by David Tyree in that spot to catch and hold onto the ball. Wow! Maybe the best part of this is the slap in the mouth to Bill Simmons, ESPN's the Sports Guy, who writes a great column, but is obnoxious as hell when Massachussets' teams do well.

I think a bigger slap in the mouth goes to Brady who laughed on nat'l television because Plaxico's prediction had the Pats scoring only 17 points. That was a very unPatriotic comment and probably jinxed his a.. for this final outcome.

There were no winners here because all we had to look forward to were either loud mouthed New Yorkers or beligerant Bostonians popping off for another year. Then again I'm not a teacher and I had to work so what the hell do I know?

Yeah, I saw your comments on Glen D. There are 180 student days planned days throughout the states. That's not changed. Some people took a personal day, we get 5, rather than pretend to listen to someone lecture about seating charts during the Superbowl. Incidentally, it was hardly just teachers who took a pesonal day yesterday.

You missed a great game Randy.

Jeff, we have a flat panel on the wall of our customer lounge so don't cry for me New Jersey. That was a great game. The whole Giants D-line should have gotten the MVP.

Of course I know that not only teachers took a personal day yesterday but when did the Tuesday hangover day begin? I don't remember that one.

Funny how "problems" w/i the system can be looked at differently depending what side of the fence your sitting on. I see a whole new generation of youth seeing justification in not going to work if there's a big game or if they just don't feel like it. These are the same kids who won't have gov't jobs waiting for them upon graduation and may expect the same "courtesy" within the private sector. What's the next good influence we should introduce them to, panhandling at the busiest intersections?

Brad, the Bills have as much chance at the Super Bowl next year as Heath Ledger has of resurrection and coming after you.

Agree with you on the d line.

Don't know what the tuesday hangover is. I went to work today and I didn't drink at all yesterday.

There's usually a handful of people who feel like you do. Ambrose Bennett is one of those people. The only question is if you've been saying this for years, Randy.

I missed the game, because I.... was in a foreign country, had a job interview scheduled, was broke as heath ledger, all of the above. Looked like one of the better games from what I saw on the SI internet play by play. I'm still sucking up the 'sox win and don't have much room for another team in my soul. Damned glad, I don't gamble. The Doctor is asking how the bookies did, stateside?/ Any word there?

The game was the second most watched TV event in the history of TV...sorry you missed it.

That is my whole foray into the world of the NFL. I watch the Superbowl.

So as an 'outsider' I will say that it was an exciting game especially during the 4th quarter. I was standing up and shouting at the TV during the last few seconds.

I rooted for the underdog NY/NJ team for no particular reason other than they were the underdog. I placed no bets, but I would suppose that a lot of people lost a lot of money by betting the favorite and a few people made a whole lot of money betting with odds on the underdog.

It was entertaining, except for the idiodic elevator rap filler commercials.

Sox, I heard that it went off 3-1 in favor of the club girl knocking the doctor out.

Jeff, you lost me on the Ambrose comparison but disregard my comments from yesterday. After consulting with the Last Weatherman, I've concluded that my statements were merely satirical.

Ambrose said the same thing you said last year, or one of these years. He's been saying it for years so I lost track.

Steele, the Doctor responds with; It usually three on one, with the doctor winding up on top. BTW, chronic masturbation is pretty well unknown within the expat communtity here. And as with the island poputlation; withthe exception of married types with babies.

Hey Steele boy, You are correct... It is three to one, oh excuse me, I meant to say three on one. Moogi, Eegii, Baby, and the occasional drop by makes it HARD for an old man to maintain. But his prostate is in good healh. Houra, Houra!!! Eat your Tulapa..
