Going one louder to 11 this month

I'm talking it up to 11 this month and paying homage to some four string axemen that I find to be particularly influential. My friend Ernie Wiggins writes an entertainment based blog and comes up with a theme each month on some underappreciated actor, musician, writer, etc. I'm going to follow his lead this month, as if it weren't already obvious, on the most underappreciated folks in music: bass players.
